You
You are likeable, lovable and have much to offer the world! But, maybe you feel alone and unlovable.
I like you already! I like that you are out there searching, considering, wondering…. It takes a strong person to ask the hard questions. Do other people feel the way I do? Is it possible to change? The answer to these questions is a resounding YES!
This site and blog is intended for readers who have been impacted by physical, emotional and sexual abuse. You may have experienced it yourself, or are trying to be supportive of someone special to you who has experienced it.
My hope is this will be a resource and encouragement to you as you travel down this difficult road. When I share my own stories, they are intended to help remind you someone else has been down a similar road and understands your pain.
Sometimes I will give links to other sites or blogs that I think may be helpful and you will be encouraged to find stories from other survivors and share your own as you feel safe to do so.
And please remember, you are lovable and you’re not alone.

I agree with Lady Quixote (great name!) — I have never seen a blog page entitled “You” – something rare in the blogosphere. Thanks for your outreach to people who are hurting.

Oh! THANK YOU for this!
I just sent you an email a few moments ago, telling you how I’ve been coming under attack lately by a couple of anonymous online “haters,” which is a big trigger for my PTSD issues of feeling unworthy, bad, unlovable, all that negative miserable stuff… and then, as soon as I sent you that email, I clicked back onto your blog and, for the first time, noticed the tab at the top that says “You.” I’ve been on your blog several times, but somehow I never saw this before. Wow, this is just what I needed to read, right now. I was feeling so bad because of these hate attacks, that last night I disabled the comments on my blog, and ended my twitter account. Until I feel stronger again, I’m going to leave it that way — I don’t need more hate in my life right now, I’ve had more than enough of that already. Gentle, compassionate, kind, empathetic, caring people, those are the folks I love, and that’s the kind of person I try to be, with the Lord’s help.
Thank you for your blog, Denise. As I said in the email I just sent to you, your blog is an oasis…. make that, an oasis of HEALING.
XOXOXOXOXO

Hi Lynda…I’m so honored you wrote me an email. I’ll go read it right away.
I’m sorry you’ve been experiencing these difficult people right now. PTSD symptoms are challenging to work through, and I think you are doing yourself a favor by stepping back and catching your breath.
So glad you’ve found some healing on this blog…that is music to my ears. Thank you for telling me.
Much love and hugs to you, sweet friend.
